4 Beginner Strains for Smoking or Vaping

4 Beginner Strains for Smoking or Vaping

Cannabis is three times more potent than it was in the 80s.

That being said, if you’re new to smoking weed, or if you haven’t smoked for a really long time, you may want to ease into it.

If you smoke strains that are too strong for your tolerance, there is a risk of experiencing being “too high”.

This, even though it won’t kill you, can be uncomfortable for some users.

That’s why if you’re going to start smoking now, or if you’ve taken a long tolerance break, these are some of the strains you get into to ease yourself into it.

1. Jack Herer

This sativa-dominant strain is named after the famed cannabis advocate and author of The Emperor Wears No Clothes, Jack Herer.

This is one of the best beginner strains for smoking or vaping because it’s not as potent as its popularity may suggest.

If you want to maintain a sense of normalcy during everyday tasks and errands, all while enjoying a euphoric, energized, and creative mindset, you’re going to love this strain.

If you’re more interested in treating medical issues such as anxiety, bipolar disorder, migraines, PTSD, and ADHD, Jack Herer may also help you with treating these as well.

This sativa-dominant hybrid has a unique ability of allowing you to feel energized and relaxed all at the same time.

It provides a distinctive full body buzz and relaxation, along with a clear-headed mental focus.

It’s one of the great beginner strains for smoking or vaping because it won’t give you a cerebral high that’ll leave you feeling too weird or uncomfortable like some other strains.

It’s also been known to be very helpful in treating depression, chronic pain, and stress.

This CBD-heavy sativa-dominant hybrid strain is one of the perfect beginner strains for smoking or vaping because of its rich CBD content. It boasts a CBD level that is twice as high as its THC level.

This means that works wonders on physical pain but still leaves you with an extremely clear-headed and uplifting cerebral space.

Because the THC content isn’t overpowering, you can still enjoy a perceptible high, but nothing that’ll be too overwhelming.

Since it’s a sativa-dominant, you’ll still feel awake and alert, while also enjoying the benefits of the CBD.

4. Northern Lights

This indica-dominant strain is one of the most famous in the world.

While this strain is probably the most potent strain on this list, it’s still one of the greatest beginner strains for smoking because of its amazing effects for an epic night in.

A dreamy, euphoric, and comfortably lazy effect sets in at the same time as its distinctive full-body relaxation.

This is also a known favorite for anyone looking to treat medically, especially for depression, stress, pain, and sleeplessness (or any other sleep disorders).

But because of its potency, we urge beginners to take this one slow, and one hit at a time.

Vaping vs Smoking: Which is Better for a Beginner?

Both vaping and smoking involve inhaling into the lungs, but which is the better option for you? We’ve already weighed the pros and cons so that you didn’t have to.

Smoking

Pros: Smoking is the most classic method. If you used to smoke years ago, you’ll probably feel nostalgic thinking about hitting a joint or bong. It’s also cost-effective compared to other methods.

Cons: Smoking isn’t the easiest on the lungs. And rolling joints is hard.

Vaping

Pros: Assuming we’re talking about vape pens (and not dabs, since if you’re a beginner, you should probably not start off with dabbing), they are delightfully discreet as any aroma doesn’t linger, and it’s very easy to travel with. Its ease of use is refreshing as all you typically have to do is press a button, or just start with an inhale.

Cons: Vape pens need to be recharged. Cartridges need to be replaced.

If you’re a beginner, or if you have a low tolerance, there isn’t a lot of information out there about products for you.

That’s why we wanted to be able to provide somewhat of a guide for you so that you can make decisions for yourself based on your own unique situation, and what exactly you want out of your cannabis experience.
